Our rules for dress, conduct and safety are in effect during all skating sessions. Hardin County Skateland wants you to have a great time, but we insist that it be a clean and safe one. We are dedicated to provide a clean and wholesome atmosphere for everyone.

NOTICE: “SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK.” Roller skating is a participation sport. There are certain risks that are associated with the sport of roller skating. When skating, you can fall for many different reasons. You can fall when you make contact with another skater. You can fall when you lose your balance due to your own inability to skate. You can fall due to other skaters’ inability to skate. Because of the normal risks of roller skating and maintaining one’s balance, you realize that when you roller skate, you are assuming such risks. We are not responsible for any injuries that we cannot control due to impulse or spontaneous actions of a person, which may cause you to fall. Every effort is maintained to keep skaters orderly and provide safety within our control. The decision to wear safety equipment is the responsibility of the skater, not the rink management.

NO DANCING / NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

NO REFUNDS. Management reserves the right to refuse admittance to individuals or groups.

SKATES: All regular skates must have toe stops. Socks must be worn with rental skates. NO BARE FEET.

DRESS: A covered body is better protected from injury. Some type of clothing must be worn on the upper part of the body. No bare midriffs or baggy pants. Pant legs must not extend below skate boot. Clothing that is dirty, patched, torn or frayed are not acceptable. Printed material on shirts must be in good taste. No obscene words or pictures. You should dress clean and neat.

SAFETY: NO SKATES ARE TO BE WORN WHEN ENTERING RINK AND NO SKATES ARE TO BE WORN WHEN LEAVING RINK.

NO IN/OUT PRIVILEGES.

NO fast skating, speed skating, tag skating, careless skating, pushing, tripping.

NO CARRYING OF CHILDREN while on skates.

NO hats, caps or hair combs, no shirts, or sweaters or jackets tied around the waist allowed on skating floor.

CONDUCT: No foul language, No intoxication of any form (including tobacco use), and definitely no fighting. No offensive or threatening language, action or gestures directed at any patron, visitor or employee.

FOOD & DRINKS: No outside food or drinks may be brought into the rink. Food and drinks must be kept in the snack bar area. No food or drinks are to be taken on the skating floor.
